My brothers 02 crf is a complete pain in the rear to start, especially if you accidentally kill it. It has a ported and polished head from sparks, 13:1 wiseco(just installed), but were not sure with the cam, and a stock crf carb and ignition. It runs great once we get it started!! We noticed it was a little out of time when we put the new piston in this weekend(maybe one tooth). Could the cam have jumped time on him? It is timed correctly now for sure but it will not start. The plug has fire so I think the ignition is ok. Not sure though, any help would be great!! thanks travis

Have you checked the valves? My CRF was very touchy about cranking and if the valves got just a little out of adjustment it would be next to impossible to kick start. It might also be worth a shot to double check the jetting.
