I talked to Norris Quinn about the difference when I got my hybrid. He said the no link is an awesome setup and it's great in the whoops and rough, choppy stuff. I completely agree with this. He said that the CR500 linkage was better on the big jumps. I'm pretty sure neither will work on a stock frame.

Hey, the no link and cr500 are about as good as a rear end you can get! I love them both! A couple years ago, i did run a no link setup on a couple of 250r's. I want to say the bottom linkage mount on the frame had to be removed to clear the shock i believe. The setups seemed to work fine, but pretty much destroyed the frame! I wouldnt reccomend doing it this way, but it is possible and does work. Problem being a no link rear end bassically puts it load direct into the frame, bassically trying to push the shock through the frame. A linkage rear end takes alot of the force away from only one point. That is a major factor in why OEM companies stay away from a no link setup, a Much stronger frame is needed for the setup. And we all know how well the production frames hold up............. Def. not even close to the quality and strength of an aftemarket chasis.

I don't think the 250R frame will be too small. That's one of the things I like about the 250R chassis, it's small and easy to manuver.
