hey i got a 250r with a lonestar frame and i was just wondering how much would have to be changed to fit a crf450 motor in it. iv herd you can just by a motor mount kit instead of sending your frame off to get all re-done. and if i have to send my frame off, what all needs changing, how much will it cost and who's the best to send it to. thanks

I would call and talk to LSR. From what I understand the CRF motors are pretty tall and that's why it takes some modifying.

It can be done, but like gtilley45 said, the crf engine is very tall, causing it to be a pain in the but to squeeze into a 250 frame, i think the 400ex frames had a talled top rail in them though. Lonestar might just try selling you a new frame if you call them though, lol. I would also try calling East Coast ATV, 610-282-0369 ask for dave. I know a few years back they were doing alot of hybrids and coversions. He'll be able to tell you the ins and outs of it and might be able to help you.
Thank you Justin
